We will be following the book [OV] Lie Groups and Algebraic Groups by A. Onishchik, E. Vinberg (available through the library).
The problems marked (!) are mandatory to submit a problem set. If a problem set has n problems, $\lceil n/2 \rceil$ need to be submitted for the top mark for this problem set.
Homework 1. Due Apr 24. [OV] Problems: 2 (!), 3 (!), 11, 14, 15, 16, 18, 23 (!). Exercises: 1 (!), 4, 5, 7, 11.
